eRtl ford 755a series
I resurrected and restored a total of five Ertl Ford 755 backhoes from various states of dirt and disrepair. The Caterpillar Yellow tractor was mine. The other four I found on eBay. All needed cleaning up, fixing up and a fresh coat of paint. They all now sit proudly on display in my home.
Caterpillar yellow
This was mine when I was a child. This Ford backhoe withstood years of use and abuse playing in the dirt. The front right wheel broke off and it went into the basement for 20 years. One day I rescued it from its neglected state and gave it some much needed attention. I restored it back to it’s original beauty in Caterpillar Yellow. Am very happy to have this gem from childhood looking new again!
New Holland Blue
Found another Ford 755 on eBay. Restored this one in New Holland Blue.
Ford Grey
Another find on eBay fixed up and restored back to beauty in the original Ford Grey. This one needed a part restored for the backhoe boom. I welded two steel round rods together, machined the end fittings out of a steel bolt, then welded it all together. Looks as good as the original.
International Red
I know it is a Ford tractor in International Red paint but I wanted one in this color.
John Deere Green
Restored one last 755A in John Deere Green to round out the full array of colors.
