Retaining Wall and Flower Terraces
Twice I have built in a retaining wall for flower terraces in my front yard. The first attempt I used landscape timbers. They lasted seven years before rotting out and shifting too much. The second attempt I used landscape bricks, added another terrace and two tons of drainage gravel. It stands to this day with many perennial flowers returning every year. Always got plenty of help from the kitties too!
